Dear Tumblr Friends: Once again, this quote has been lifted from my blog, without me being cited as the translator.
These are not the words of the Holy Father. These are the actual words which I translated from the Portuguese, taken from a Brazilian Catholic tumblr. Unfortunately, I translated them from the Portuguese without vetting their source, and posted them on my blog on August 15th.
Thanks to an alert blogger, who was finally able to trace me as the source of the translation and ask about the source, I have since investigated and found out that these words are incorrectly being attributed to Pope John Paul II.
In the future, when my personal translations are lifted from my blog, I would ask that I be cited so that people understand that they are not official translations coming from the Holy See. God bless and take care! Fr. Angel

About DOMINUS PARS HÆREDITATIS MEÆ

Fr. Angel Sotelo. Priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno in California. Pastor. "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance" was recited in Latin by a seminarian on the day he was tonsured, and began to ascend the traditional Latin rites of Minor Orders. That's what the "Dominus Pars" means.

Every once in a while, I need to publish this by means of an intro. First, welcome, even if you're not happy to be following LOL.

Secondly, hang around the blog first and see what you think. My views are those of a Catholic priest who stands with the Catholic Church. If you want to see how I respond to a number of questions, just type in a word in the search box at the top of the blog and you'll probably find what your're looking for.

Third, I am very different from other internet priests. I often fight with the more "liberal, dissenting Catholics".

Please do not write and say you are "ashamed" because a priest behaves like that on Tumblr (controversial). I don't care what you are ashamed of. For all you know, there may be people who are ashamed of you too. So what? I enjoy blogging and helping others, and if I didn't help you, just click unfollow and go elsewhere.

Yes, I care when you feel hurt or shocked. No, it isn't going to make me back down or apologize for being Catholic.

What you SHOULD say to people dealing with any of these
